Okay, so I was right about not discussing Cormyr. That was simply due to the massive time discrepancy from reading to meeting. But we haven't yet chose another book to read and not discuss. Kudos to Lothos for recommending books, and I hope we do choose one. But I for one haven't picked up a book since before I met Jamie, which was August 28th. I think the other members can agree that we don't have time, and then KB will start soon too. So, what we have to decide is, do we let this thing die? or do we merely postpone it until next summer? or are we going to be stubborn little teenagers and try to read more? My vote is for postponement, and anyone who will ever bother to read this can vote how they like. Anyways, talk to you all later, and a note to Katie--->it really isnt my decision to decide what we do with this club, since its yours, and so anything final will be run by you. Assuming you read this, of course.

Howdy there, everybody. As you've probably noticed, I haven't been the most diligent poster, but, well, what're ya gonna do. Anyway, I do have some good book suggestions should this book club ever be resurrected beyond the delayed chat that it is at the moment. They follow:
Any books by Anne Rice (they're about Vampires, but you should read them before you scoff, I would have said the same things before picking them up, now I'm almost a fanboy)
The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand (very good, nothing else need be said)
The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind
The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan
A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin
I would recommend these books in the order they appear, though they are all good. Well, I guess have fun not posting...

So Zeratul feels as though he is the only one doing anything in here. I say he's wrong.
"What's that? Oh sorry"
Ladies and gentlemen it appears I had an error in that last statement. It appears that he is the only one posting in here and more than likely keeping it alive.
Ok, now that that's done w/ I guess I feel kinda bad about this whole thing. I feel like it might be partly my fault being I'm in it, but yet I did not write in it.
Well I am open for the rest of this week to get together and talk about it being I'm home alone and have no obligations up through Saturday. I couldn't stand another minute of that mindless sitting around and nothing that was my vacation up north. Anywas, see you all later.

Okay, this one time, I joined a book club, and a few of us read a book, and we all thought it was good, but we never had time to talk about it, so we didn't, and we chose another book, and a few of us read it, but we didn't have time to talk about that one either, and so the club fell apart, and the only person who blames themselves was the one person who kept posting on the site, because he was the only one who kept reviving a dead thing, and this person is me, and let this be a lesson to you all: I can tell the future.

Oh, yes I did read a few books. The Dragonlance series as borrowed to me by Liz. Good books they are, and there are just about as many in that series as there are in the Forgotten Realms universe, the universe as partly described about in our book, Cormyr.

I guess I will start this message by greeting Arisa and Lothos. Hopefully you will be active members in this book club that needs help getting off the ground, 2 months after its inception. As for Dragonflight, no I have not read that, but it sounds like a good read nontheless.
I don't know whether Arisa or Lothos are going to read Cormyr, or have read it, but I think we should refrain from choosing a new book until we have our discussions on Cormyr. I will have it finished by Thursday at the latest, and so we can begin unless we are waiting for others to finish. Oh, and Kanna, just a hint, July is month 7, you are off on the join dates for Arisa and Lothos.

So, I have finished Cormyr.... the first to do so, I do have to say, and i think that people would enjoy it if they would just buy it, and have the will to read it. Now I now that this has pretty much gone down the tubes, but i would still like to keep it somewhat going. So if people want to read a book for this sort of book club, suggest it, and we will see if it will happen. I would also like to welcome Arisa into the book club.
So i thought that one thinig to keep this sort of active is for people to post questions that others can reply to.
QUESTION:
Has anyone read books be Anne McCaffery, and have they liked them if they have? I know that i have read some and i found them very interesting. I think that they would be really cool books to read in here, cause they are pretty famous, and easy to get a hold of, if people are short on cash, plus they have some pretty cool things about dragons in them. The one that I have read, and would like to read, is Dragon Flight - it is part of a series. I will post a link at the side for those that would like to look into it. So yeah - tell me what you think.

Well, just in the interests of keeping this thing going until I finish Cormyr, I will mention that this book that I bought, The Book of the Dragon, has a few pictures of dragons in it, and two or three of them are the same as the lovely dragon gracing the cover of Cormyr. One is colored, and the other looks like a hand-drawn version. The book says that the pictures were drawn by the author, Ciruelo, and I cant help but wonder if he drew the original for Cormyr. Oh well, I might never know, even as I attempt to draw those winged creatues myself.

Hello everyone, or no one if no one bothers to check here anymore, but I have a dilemma on my hands, and as fellow book readers you might help me solve my problem. For my birthday I got a Barnes and Noble gift card worth a decent amount of money. I definitely need some books to buy, but so far have only settled on one entitled: The Book of the Dragon. I found this other book, which will guarantee me some laughs, but I don't know if its worth buying. It is called: How the Irish Saved Civilization. It is non-fiction, and got some bad reviews since there were many gaps in the logic, but I know I will get a kick out of it, since Katie is Ireland. All I need from you readers is some feedback, like finding me some books to read, and they don't have to be from bn.com, they can be your personal favs too. I am counting on you, I do not want to waste my gift card.

As fellow book readers, I can tell you this story with the utmost confidence that you will be pissed too. The St. Cloud Times newspaper is printing a weekly quiz on successive Harry Potter books that will lead up to the release of the 6th one, The Half-Blood Prince. This week was book two, and I got 3/10. Don't be surprised, for the 7 I got "wrong" were actually mistakes by the newspaper. You can all agree with me that the Weasleys picked up Harry in a flying car, and not a motorcycle. It makes me want to write a letter to those "Writers" and say something, but I have much more fun catching their mistakes. Oh well, at least its about a book.

So this book is going slow. It's awesome, but I find myself finding other things to do so far this summer. I'm about half way done with the book that Brook and Andrew decided they would not buy it and just wait for me and Katie to finish. She still holds a slight lead on me, but I think that will change this afternoon. She has to go to a parade and I'm bored for the next 4 hours until I work so that should give me a ligitimate amount of time in which to pass her up.
Just writing so this thing doesn't totally die.
If your bored why not write one of your own?
